CaliPlus™ : Under the Scope

We have not just added ingredients but have prepared a well standardized product just for you. What standardization would ensure is key activities within the herbs are maintained within formulation at appropriate levels guarantying a consistent action with every batch.

We have achieved this standardization by

1. Selection of most appropriate extracts based on chromatographic fingerprinting and assay of key activities within herbs and using only those which fulfill minimum requirements.

2. Every ingredient in addition to above is rigorously tested for more than 25 other parameters before being used.

3. The manufacturing process is validated to ensure batch to batch consistency.

4. The final product is again subjected to chromatographic fingerprinting and assay to ensure that a complete range of actives responsible for activity are present to consistent level batch to batch.

CaliPlus™ Ingredients Profile

L-Arginine

L-arginine, an NO donor, is a basic component of the daily diet which may increase NOS activity and may affect penile erection. Recent experimental and clinical investigations show that NO, a neuro-transmitter that is released at nerve ends and activated at the endothelium of penile arteries, sinusoids and trabeculae of cavernosal smooth muscle, is responsible for smooth muscle relaxation and penile erection. It is also helpful as anti-depressant.

Epimedium Sagittatum

Epimedium is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine widely used as a tonic and antirheumatic remedy in China, Korea, and Japan. It has been proven to be effective in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, osteoporosis, and to improve neurological and sexual function.

An Additional benefit of Epimedium:
Chemical drugs for erectile dysfunction are contraindicated in patients with cardiovascular diseases, but epimedium being helpful in cardiovascular diseases can safely be used in patients of erectile dysfunction with underline cardiovascular diseases.

Icariin is a flavonoid isolated from Epimediium is considered to be the major pharmacological active component. It is reported that icariin has a vasodilatory effect on the coronary vessels and has cardioprotective effects during ischemia and reoxygenation. Some studies also indicated that Epimediium is strong anti-oxidant.
Epimedium is reported to help secrete NO from nerve endings, which relaxes the vascular and corporal smooth muscle cells of the penile arteries and trabeculae, resulting in an erection. Icariin, which active ingredient of Epimedium helps in inhibition of PDE5 leading to smooth muscle relaxation in blood vessels supplying the corpus cavernosum, resulting in increased blood flow and an erection.

Gokshur (Tribulus Terrestris)

Apart from its claims for improvement of sexual functions in men, the Tribulus terrestris has long been considered as an energizer and vitalizer in the indigenous system of medicine.

Sexual behavior studies in male rats revealed that T. terrestris extract significantly improves male sexual behavior (assessed by increase In Intracavernosal pressure, mount frequency & intromission frequency; and decrease in mount latency, intromission latency, ejaculation latency & postejaculatory interval) and exerts anabolic action by increasing the weight.

It's active principle is Protodioscin which exerts proerectile aphrodisiac activity in erectile dysfunction, possibly by increasing in androgen and subsequent release of nitric oxide from the nerve endings innervating the corpus cavernosum.

Kapikacchu (Mucuna Pruriens)

M. pruriens is described as potent Aphrodisiac, Libido enhancer, anabolic, and neuronutrient. Preclinical study reports significant and sustained aphrodisiac activity (assessed by increase in mounting frequency, number of erections, quick flips, long flips, total reflex, intromission frequency & ejaculation latency, and by decrease in the mounting latency, intromission latency, post-ejaculatory interval and inter-intromission interval).

Semen corrective, adoptogenic, antioxidant, and neuroprotective effects of M. pruriens have also been reported.

Safed Musali (Chlorophytum arundinaceum)

C. arundinaceum is the vital ingredient of number of Ayurvedic aphrodisiac formulations mentioned in the ancient literature.

It's active principals are Asparagin and Albumin and the herb is an Aphrodisiac, Libido enhancer, tonic and anabolic in action. It Increases sperm count and is also used in spermatorrhoea.

Trikatu (Piper Longum, Piper Nigrum & Zingiber Officinale)

Trikatu is a Sanskrit word meaning three spices in powder form. This ancient formulation is made up of three herbs; black pepper (Piper nigrum), Indian long pepper (Piper longum) and the rhizomes of ginger (Zingiber officinale) in equal amounts. Trikatu acts as an aphrodisiac and strengthens reproductive functions and energizes the reproductive organs. Trikatu promotes the secretion of digestive juices, increases appetite and stimulates the formation of acid thus inhibiting gaseous distension.
In many scientific studies it has been observed that trikatu group of drugs increase bioavailability either by promoting rapid absorption from the gastrointestinal tract or by protecting the drug from being metabolized.
